🕯️ Who Is Hekate?

Hekate (also spelled Hecate) is the goddess of magic, crossroads, thresholds, and the unseen. She stands at the edge of things — watching the in-between.

Known as a guide of lost souls and protector of witches, Hekate has long been associated with:

Spirit communication

Decision-making during uncertain times

Protective rituals and banishment of harmful energies

Guiding people through transformation or personal rebirth

She’s not chaotic — she’s clarifying.

🔮 Signs Hekate Might Be Reaching Out to You

You may be called to Hekate if:

You keep seeing keys, dogs, owls, or crows

You dream of crossroads, dark paths, or old doorways

You feel drawn to banish, protect, or transform

You’ve recently left something behind (a job, person, identity)

You’re learning about or practicing witchcraft

You’ve felt watched — but never in fear

She often reaches through:

Sudden urges to cleanse, protect, or ward

Repeated appearance of her symbols in books, media, or dreams

A pull toward the moon or shadow work

✨ How to Gently Connect with Hekate

You don’t need a complex altar or intense ritual. Begin with:

Lighting a candle at dusk (black or white is perfect)

Leaving offerings at a crossroads or threshold (e.g., garlic, wine, honey, eggs)

Journaling with the prompt:

“Where am I standing at a threshold in my life?”

Say softly:

“Hekate, if it is your will, I welcome your guidance at the edge of what was and what will be.”

Always thank her — she values respect.

🔐 Simple Protection Ritual with Hekate

You’ll need:

A black candle

A key or key-shaped drawing

A piece of paper

Steps:

Write what you’re releasing or protecting yourself from.

Place the key on top of the paper.

Light the candle and say:

“Hekate, keeper of gates and guide through dark, guard me as I close this door.”

Let the candle burn down safely or snuff it out. Dispose of the paper symbolically (rip or bury it).
